La Academia de Televisión reveló sus nominaciones para los 72 Premios Emmy. Netflix domina las nominaciones con un total de 160, con Ozark a la cabeza de la lista; mientras que HBO queda en 107 nominaciones totales.

La Academia dijo que hubo un récord de 767 programas diferentes en la carrera por Emmys en más de 100 categorías esta temporada, con un aumento total de 15% en el año anterior.

La gran sorpresa de las nominaciones la dio Quibi, el servicio de streaming de formato corto que tuvo un lanzamiento accidentado durante sus primeros meses.

La red solo para dispositivos móviles obtuvo 10 nominaciones al Emmy, todas en las categorías cortas de la ceremonia de premiación. Los nominados al Oscar Anna Kendrick y Laurence Fishburne y el dos veces ganador del Oscar Christoph Waltz se encuentran entre los nominados de Quibi.

La votación final de la ronda Emmy comenzará el 21 de agosto y se extenderá hasta el 31 de agosto, finalizando con una ceremonia conducida por Jimmy Kimmel el 20 de septiembre.
